Ho Chi Minh City on the move

Ho Chi Minh City is poised to receive Vietnam's first urban railway. Japanese infrastructure firm Hitachi will deliver trains, ticketing machines, communications and signalling systems once operations begin in 2018.

The estimated cost is 37 billion yen ($376 million) and, according to Hitachi, represents the first of several planned railway lines in Vietnam.
